In Chapter 8-2, Mimi asks Mario, Luigi and Princess Peach several questions on which enemies frighten them the most, and an Amazy Dayzee can be chosen as an answer. In Twilight Trail, only one Amazy Dayzee can be found at a time, but up to two Amazy Dayzees can be found at once in the Pit of 100 Trials. In the Pit of 100 Trials, Amazy Dayzees are commonly found in the presence of Poison Puffs, Swampires, and Bob-ulks, but are never found on their own. Zelda (and Link, a male one) are the only red-tailed black cockatoos I have ever seen (and also held, and I felt really comfortable with both of them on me, I shouldn't be biting more than I can chew). ![]() I couldn't trade this one for anything.īut, regardless, I only have articles to read. The most aggression he has shown against another parrot is the umbrella cockatoo barking contest from 5 days ago. He has been at ground level with parrots before, and he has always left them alone. I really understand the predator risk, but if you met my dog, you'd know it wouldn't be a problem. That's the biggest problem I could find, so this may be a cakewalk. I will never leave them in the same place unattended, though. I will keep them as separated as possible initially, and slowly get them sharing the same spaces. It's a process he has already been through. It's like keeping him off of my allergic mother, just with a parrot now. That's unlikely to happen with proper training, anyway. My concern is not him getting hostile, but that he'll try to lick it. That mutualism between me and an animal is what I need, and I need more fun in my life. He also said that despite the difficulty, parrots are really fun to live with. He describes that the difficulty has helped him grow as a person. I have a neighbour who owns a blue-throated macaw. For the past few years, I've lacked that challenge, and I have felt miserable compared to when I was young. Difficulty gets my creative mind working. Challenge has always pushed me to do better. ![]() Its price doesn't seem too dissimilar to other cockatoos, either.Īlso, challenge is what I need. Most "flashy" parrots are the extra-aggressive ones, but these ones seem to grow to be sweet with the right owner. It's shocking that this species is described as tame. I'm also a black and red sucker, and take a look at the male. I'm sorry, but I'm a sucker for black and gold. Small and large both have pros and cons.Īnd, yes, I want a cool-looking parrot. I feel like size and difficulty have too strong a correlation. I like to have a little more time to think. Fly slower, move their head slower, walk slower, grow slower. Since it's larger, it should potty less often and movement should generally be slower than small parrots. I won't need an outrageous amount of real estate for it, but I won't have to check under the towels constantly. It's a really nice balance between large and small. Quick movement makes me too anxious that something could go wrong. The larger size compared to a budgie yields less frequent poops and slower flight and movement. Pin feathers will be easier to spot and get out compared to the usual white cockatoo. The main appeal I see is the moderate size and the contrast between the furniture in my home and the colour of the parrot. I have jumped between a lot of different species (Scarlet macaw, green winged macaw, mollucan cockatoo, congo african grey, hawk-headed parrot which was an absolute nope, and now this), I feel like this is the one though. I would really like to get a red-tailed black cockatoo. Any further reading is just redundant, now. I've been doing quite a lot of research for the past 2 years, so I think it's about time I prepared for getting one. I have never owned a parrot, but I'm no stranger to their behaviour. ![]() I could get her up and down, and also pet her without getting bitten. When I visited in August of 2020, she was really feisty and nippy. Her behaviour was remarkably different compared to several months ago. This was around 5 days ago, and it was my second visit to the place. This is Zelda, a red-tailed black cockatoo at Parrot Mountain in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. ![]() ![]() ![]() #SYNOLOGY BACKBLAZE INSTALL#Hey spiceworks world! Our office is moving into a new office building and we'd like to install a temperature/humidity monitor in the server room. ![]() Server room humidity monitor with alerts (ethernet, not wifi) Hardware. If your Synology dies for whatever reason, your backups will be inaccessible until you get the box working again or replaced. You rely either on Backblaze or on a working Synology box. Browsing/restoring files/folders using Hyper Backup works well enough for that sort of thing. We've considered doing something like rsync (or even Synology's Cloud Sync which gets better upload speeds than Hyper Backup), but our understanding of that sort of solution is that we'd be relying on Backblaze's settings for any sort of versioning, and accessing those versioned files (eg a full-folder restoration from 4 weeks ago) wouldn't be as straightforward as a backup tool that's designed with that functionality in mind. #SYNOLOGY BACKBLAZE SOFTWARE#In this case, you may want to purchase the commercial version, I believe, or spin up S3-based object storage like Ceph Opens a new window or Minio Opens a new window to trick the software into thinking it is still uploading to the cloud -) Let's assume you have some sort of archival storage and would like to save those virtual tales locally. It is just a matter of correct schedule and automation to forget about that limitation completely. Johnsonny wrote:In your experience, have you found the 4-tape limitation to be a hindrance? Or how have you accommodated that limitation?Īs long as you treat those four tapes as a temporary cache required only during the period needed to upload those tapes into the cloud, you are totally fine with the limitations. It is capable of utilizing all the bandwidth you can get to Backblaze and requires additional QoS settings to avoid interference with other WAN-related services and regular internet usage.Īlternatively, you can use rclone Opens a new window, which can run on Synology just well Opens a new window and does a better job compared to native Hyper Backup. #SYNOLOGY BACKBLAZE FREE#We are using the free Backblaze storage gateway for Veeam Opens a new window, which is virtual tapes based and runs alongside the primary Veeam B&R server. Some say that is a benefit since the upload process does not consume too much WAN bandwidth leaving enough throughput for other things. Since backup to the cloud is mainly used for archiving/DR purposes, most people don't care how long it takes to upload the backups. Johnsonny wrote:After a month+ long dialogue with Synology support, they have acknowledged (to some degree) that our experience of slow upload speeds is a limitation of their software and something that might get fixed in some future update. I also don't know any long-term problems with using 8MB vs 512MB multipart size, so if there's any counsel available regarding that, I'd appreciate it too. ![]() Decreasing the multipart size helps, but it's still only half of what I know our environment can handle. At the smallest size (8MB), we're getting 40Mb/s (5MB/s) upload speeds, but as the Multipart size increases to the default 512MB, the speed decreases to 16Mb/s.Īfter a month+ long dialogue with Synology support, they have acknowledged (to some degree) that our experience of slow upload speeds is a limitation of their software and something that might get fixed in some future update.Īs a sort of last-ditch effort, I'm wondering if anyone else here has experience with slow upload speeds with Hyper Backup and perhaps a way of speeding it up. What's strange is that as we decrease the 'multipart upload part size' the actual upload speeds increase. This is a far cry from the 80Mb/s (10MB/s) we get from Backblazes' web-based speedtest tool or from other tools leveraging their APIs. Unboxed the units, configured them, got some data on there, and tried a test upload to Backblaze and got a paltry 16Mb/s (2MB/s) speeds. We bought a couple of Synology RS1221RP+ units to function mainly as JBoD with the intention of backing them up to Backblaze using Synology Hyper Backup. ![]() ![]() ![]() Lucky Patcher is an amazing tool which allows you to block advertisements, remove system apps, modify system apps, bypass license verification, modify app permissions, and much more. ![]() It also lets us modify various applications in many ways. ![]() ![]() Your browser does not support inline iframes. I’m hyping myself up just typing all this out! I guess it is a good time to be a fan of the franchise. In that same vein, there was also leaked footage of a Harry Potter role playing game, opens a new window and it looks like you’ll be able to go on your own adventures within the universe. We already got to see some of Newt Scamander’s backstory in the first film and now in Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald, we will hopefully get a more in depth look at one of the most harrowing characters in the wizarding world mythos. #FANTASTIC BEAST 1 SERIES#In a world of reboots and remakes, I feel this new series is the best way to explore the HP universe without encroaching on the books and films of the past and without fear of changing Harry’s story. Everything That Is Old, Is New Again (Sort Of) *Yes, there is a small collection with a very short version of Fantastic Beasts and The History of Quidditch but COME ON! You’d be hard pressed to find someone that considers those meaningful reading, let alone enough to make a series of movies. ![]() On the one hand, spending more time exploring the wizarding world is A-OK with me, but on the other, I don’t want to overstay my welcome and end up with something overly stretched out and subpar like The Hobbit. Then they go and announce that it will be a series of FIVE movies, opens a new window! Let me tell you, I am torn. After all, this would be the last Harry Potter related film for a while, or so I thought. Excitement settled in and in my opinion, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them turned out to be rather fun! Yes, the critics tore it apart (as critics tend to do), but sometimes it’s best to tune that all out and enjoy the ride. #FANTASTIC BEAST 1 MOVIE#How do you make a movie about a fictional book within another book? * It's weird! My skepticism faded as more and more details came out about the project. I was a little skeptical back when Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them was first announced. Sullivan’s reading time back in 5 th grade ( Sorcerer’s Stone was being used by another classmate and I needed to see what all the fuss was about.) I was instantly hooked when I picked up Chamber of Secrets during Ms. It follows seeming neer-do-well wizard Newt Scamander, who is searching the globe to find and document a number of the movies titular magical creatures. According to franchise producer David Heyman, Fantastic Beasts 4 doesn't yet have a script, and there's no planned release date - a stark difference to The Crimes of Grindelwald and The Secrets of Dumbledore, which always had earmarked release schedules.I knew my wallet was in trouble the moment they announced that the Wizarding World of Harry Potter would be making its way to Universal Studios Hollywood, opens a new window. The first Fantastic Beasts movie takes place in the late 1920s, decades before the events of the Harry Potter books and movies. ![]() However, with Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore's lackluster performance, it's theoretically possible that only one more movie (or none) will happen. In some ways, it's similar to what happened with James Cameron's Avatar sequels, which added additional movies as the story plan unfolded. #FANTASTIC BEAST 1 FULL#Fantastic Beasts was originally planned as a trilogy, but once the full story was mapped out, two additional films were announced. Initially, the answer to the question "how many Fantastic Beasts movies are there?" was a bit different. Not only does 1945 mark the end of the Second World War but also the end of Dumbledore and Grindelwald's feud canonically, so unless something changes, that's still the year the final Fantastic Beasts movie should be set in (if it ever happens). Professor Albus Dumbledore must assist Newt Scamander and his partners as Grindelwald begins to lead an army to eliminate all Muggles. With Jude Law, Cara Mahoney, Mads Mikkelsen, Eddie Redmayne. Shortly before Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them was released in 2016, it was announced that four sequels were planned that would take place between 19, tackling a different series of events in each installment. Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore: Directed by David Yates. ' The first two 'Fantastic Beasts' films are available to stream on HBO Max and Peacock Premium. Five Fantastic Beasts movies are planned.
